Changed People

While preparing for our Easter series, "Good News," I came across this verse:

"This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God's wonderful grace." —Colossians 1:6 (NLT)

As I read it, the words seemed to leap off the page. Though I didn't preach on this verse directly, I felt the Lord impress on me to share it with you—just as He shared it with me.

Did you catch it? The Good News is going out everywhere, and it's bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives. In other words: Changed people, change people.

What if you began to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide your steps—into places, into moments, into conversations—where hearts are open and lives can be touched?

This Sunday, I'll be sharing a message titled "Changed," encouraging us to live with intentionality, availability, and a readiness to be used by God—even in the everyday. To the Uber driver, the waitress, the Fedex delivery driver, the cashier, the baseball team mom who keeps emailing you about snacks, the kid sitting alone at the lunch table, the person in line ahead of you at Walmart.

What if all it took was a simple, Spirit-led invitation to change someones life: "Come sit with me." Or, "Come watch with me." It's simple and the best part, you don't have to have all the answers—you just have to be willing, because "Changed People, change people."
