Luke 18 tells of the events leading up to Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. In this text we find a rich young ruler who desires to earn eternal life. We will tackle the idea that we are able to earn favor in God’s eyes through our actions. I will look to remind our community that Jesus Christ is more than just a good teacher with a feel good message. He is the savior of the world and following him requires full surrender in every area of our lives.
