🎯Keynote speaker: Pastor Jay Finney

Pastor John “Jay” Finney was called to ministry as a young man and was baptized at age 19. After moving to New York and working in the secular music industry, he rededicated his life to Christ. He joined Victory Temple under the leadership of Bishop Richard Sullins, where he became a deacon.

As a deacon he was engaged in street ministry, going from house to house praying, teaching and spreading the gospel. In 2001 Pastor “J” was ordained as a minister of the gospel. That same year, he moved back to Delaware and married his High School sweetheart.
In 2008, Pastor “J” took another step in his outreach journey when he joined Dr. Sheldon Nix of Life Worth Living Fellowship as Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor and Pastor of outreach. When Pastor Nix resigned in late 2014 because of back trouble, Assistant Pastor Finney became the interim pastor and remained in this position until he was officially ordained as Pastor in 2015. With a new vision, ready to go to a new level, to a new dimension, Pastor Finney changed the name to Life Worth Living Church and began to do what God has always led him to do, feeding, clothing and creating opportunities to share the gospel with the community. Pastor “J” took advantage of every opportunity to do street ministry.
Upon arrival in Delaware he joined Union Baptist church under Pastor LaBarron McAdoo and was pastor of outreach and evangelism which enabled him to continue what God had started in New York.

In 2002 God gave him a vision of an outreach project for the community called Soul Harvest, to feed and clothe the community and minister to them in Word. Under this outreach ministry, many people came to Christ, were healed and delivered. Today, with a new name and the same objective, this ministry is still at work at Union Baptist. In 2006, while still at Union Baptist, Pastor “J” was licensed as a minister in the state of Delaware.
