Jesus is The Anchor of our Soul
Last Sunday, we talked about Jesus, Our Shepherd who found us when we were lost, this Sunday (6/16/2024), we will learn that "Jesus is The Anchor of our Soul'' (title of the message) based on Hebrews 6:19-20. An anchor holds the boat in place so that it won't drift, the boat may sway a little because of the winds and the waves but when the anchor is down, it is secured and safe.
The faith of our scattered brothers and sisters were facing lots of trials and challenges. They were tempted to consider that Christ is not sufficient to meet their needs, they are still looking for other sources to guarantee their safety and security. But The Holy Spirit through the writer of the Book of Hebrews is reminding them (us) that with Jesus as the Anchor of our Souls, we can be assured that regardless of what we're facing, regardless of what others are offering, we have to hold on to what we believe, that Jesus Is Enough and Superior to all others.
Mission Partners, let us keep on working together declaring and demonstrating the Truth (Jesus) that God has graciously given to us.
Scripture: Hebrews 6:13-20; Heb.10:32-35 ; Heb.7:25; Luke 24:44; Heb.10:19-25
