There are so many things that I want to accomplish in my life. Maybe it takes a lifetime of work to see myself succeed in the way that I have envisioned. When I look behind, I see the prominent trailing of failure that follows me up to this point. When I take my very next step toward the direction where I believe I am called to go, I step forward with uncertainty. I am afraid and insecure. When I let these emotions taint my outlook, I do feel the resistance rolling me back to familiar waters of defeat. And then I drown in it.

I need saving everyday from the polluted thoughts that grips my mind. I also have to silence my mind and choose not to be affected by the whiffs of negativity around me. I need a breath of new life to be imparted to me. Reading the Bible offers a supply of life-giving oxygen meant not only to keep me alive, but also to charge my soul to fully come alive. I then see possibilities, vitality, love, passion, fulfillment, and a host of qualities that transform my world in a new light. Therefore, my vision for my life is divinely made clear as day and I’m drawn to aim my actions to coincide with my faith.

God has mapped out each of our paths from beginning to end. There will be many points in this journey where you’d feel lost and overwhelmed. So take His hand and let Him bring you back safely ashore. And then walk with him daily along the path that leads to your destination.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27
