Power Up!

You may have heard of power nap. Research confirms that power naps will boost your memory, cognitive skills, creativity, and energy level.
Sleep expert and author Sara Mednick, PhD states that “You can get incredible benefits from 15 to 20 minutes of napping. You reset the system and get a burst of alertness and increased motor performance. That’s what most people really need to stave off sleepiness and get an energy boost.”
I have applied the same concept in the management of housework. Our house is not spic-and-span by any stretch, nor have I actually been able to reach this blue ribbon standard, even as I plan for a full day of exclusive deep cleaning. But what seems to work, which I’ve effortlessly sustained are 15-minute bursts of speed cleaning. I set a timer and set my mind to just actively tidy up and attend to things in my reach, however much gets done in the allotted time is better than none.
If you’ve ever played Super Mario, it’s that star boost that I’m referring to. Our mind necessitates this quick power-up. When there’s restlessness in you and you feel that the task is quickly becoming too overwhelming to conquer, and it would take all of you to surmount the mountain obstructing your view to the Promised Land – or to better state to say the least, then be intentional about doing a 15-minute power button reset back to the Word of God. It will calibrate your heart and your mind. This time committed daily will recharge you in a notably substantial way.
