Going on a vacation takes a lot of planning – from booking flights, hotels, and rental cars, to packing stuff – not just what you will wear, but the gear and supplies you will need. Learning plenty of information about the trip by reading and listening to other people’s experiences prove helpful.

But  no matter how much we prepare, there are still unexpected things that can change a well-planned vacation and frustrate even an experienced traveler. A delayed flight, severe weather condition, traffic jams; they are just a few of these nuisances. It is much like how my life turned out.

In my younger years, I have detailed plans especially about my career, none of which involved staying home to rear my children. God made the opportunity possible. With our circumstances, there was no other obvious choice. Many things in my life did not go exactly as I had planned but I am glad that it turned out to be His plan and not mine. In my limited vision, my delayed goals seemed like a detour but God has been and always will be in control of my life. No detours or delays just a walk in faith.

” As for me, I am in your hands; do with me whatever you think is good and right. Jeremiah 26:14 “
